1 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Scorekeepers Portal, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the portal immediately.

2 Eligibility & Registration

Access to the Scorekeepers Portal is restricted to:

• Active WESA-registered scorekeepers approved by the Commissioner
• Individuals with a valid Canadian mobile phone number capable of receiving SMS/RCS messages
• Individuals who are 18 years of age or older

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your contact information, including your phone number. Sharing your account credentials is not permitted.

3 SMS & RCS Messaging Consent

By registering your Canadian mobile number with the Scorekeepers Portal, you provide express consent to receive SMS and RCS messages from WESA via Twilio. These messages may include:

• Game assignment notifications (new, changed, or cancelled)
• Game-day reminder messages
• Schedule conflict or urgency alerts
• Association announcements from the Commissioner

You may also manage notification preferences within the portal after logging in. Opting out of SMS/RCS messages does not deactivate your scorekeeper account.

4 Scorekeeper Responsibilities

As a registered scorekeeper, you agree to:

• Accept or decline game assignments within the timeframe specified by the Commissioner
• Attend all accepted assignments and submit accurate game results promptly
• Notify WESA of conflicts or absences as early as possible
• Keep your contact information current in the portal
• Treat all players, officials, and administrators with respect

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
• Submit false or misleading game results
• Use the portal for any purpose unrelated to WESA scorekeeper duties
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the portal or its underlying infrastructure
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit any part of the portal

6 Service Availability

WESA operates the Scorekeepers Portal on a best-effort basis as a volunteer-run organization. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for any disruption to the service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where practicable.

7 Account Suspension & Termination

WESA reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove a scorekeeper's account at the sole discretion of the Commissioner, including for failure to fulfil assignments, misconduct, or violation of these Terms. Affected individuals may appeal in writing to the WESA board.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, WESA and its officers, volunteers, and directors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Scorekeepers Portal or from any failure to deliver SMS/RCS notifications.

9 Changes to These Terms

WESA may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the portal or by SMS. Continued use of the portal after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
